About This Position

The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is a charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children. We are seeking a personable, energetic, and proactive individual to fill the full‑time position of Support Services Manager.

The Support Services Manager is a management level position within our Support Services Team. The Support Services Manager is responsible for supporting victims/survivors connecting with C3P with guidance from the Director of Operations ‑ Support Services, providing leadership and supervision on missing children services, and advancing policing relations across Canada to promote the work of the Centre.

Requirements include:

  • A Degree in Psychology or Family Social Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, including 2‑3 years in a staff management role
  • Several years of direct experience in the delivery of crisis response service and/or working within a field related to child protection
  • Trained in multi-tiered support services with the proven ability to apply clinical skills in the assessment, planning, and monitoring of services
  • Experience in the field of abuse investigation, crisis intervention and assessment of high risk situations while working with children and/or youth in crisis
  • Good understanding of Canada’s criminal justice system and provisions related to the issue of missing and sexually exploited children
  • Understanding of child welfare legislation in various jurisdictions across Canada
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex or sensitive information (oral, written, interpersonal and public speaking)
  • French/English bilingualism is considered an asset
