On average, Cybertip.ca receives over 700 reports per month and 9,000 downloads of educational material. All reports that are in contravention of the Criminal Code (Canada) are sent to police for possible
investigation. Since the inception of Cybertip.ca, our efforts have played a role in the removal of at least 23 children from abusive environments. At least 64 arrests have been made in connection with Cybertip.ca
reports.
Success Story
Cybertip.ca received an anonymous report of an imageboard featuring several child abuse images. Analysts conducted various searches and forwarded the information to the RCMP's National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre. This information, combined with other intelligence, enabled law enforcement to identify three young children in Northern Germany, all of whom had endured sexual abuse. The suspect, who lived in the same home as the children, was arrested and charged with a number of criminal offences.
