PARTNERING TO PROTECT
CANADA'S CHILDREN
Being a parent is the most rewarding job there is, but it's also one of the most difficult and challenging. The Canadian Centre for Child Protection is here to help.
In partnership with CIBC, we have launched a new public awareness campaign aimed at parents with young children ages 12 and under. The goal is to raise awareness about child personal safety issues and encourage parents to
educate their children about prevention strategies.
Did You Know?
- Building your children's sense of self worth will help protect them.
- Staying involved in your children's lives will help keep them safe.
- Being emotionally available for your children will make them less likely to be targeted by an offender.
- Incorporating personal safety into children's everyday lives reduces their risk of victimization.
- Using fear is an ineffective approach to increase children's safety.
